The Make Architects MSA Drawing Prize 2025 winner is… James Coop!
We are thrilled to announce James Coop as the winner of the first ever Manchester School of Architecture (MSA) Drawing Prize, sponsored by Make Architects.
A special note of gratitude for their support and generosity — including a priceless hand drawing by Dr Ken Shuttleworth himself, added to the award as part of the prize.
Ken Shuttleworth and Greg Willis Jury Comment:
"We were impressed by the commitment to detail, whilst retaining a strong sense of the overall composition. The simple perspective, allied to a generous use of negative space, allows for both complexity and density whilst never verging into confusion. What is particularly heartening, is that there is still room at the very centre of the piece for people, giving everything that surrounds them both scale and purpose."
